Captain Vijayakanth join together Makkal Nala Kootani (MNK) Leaders Vaiko, Thirmalvalavan and others to meet this Tamilnadu Assembly election 2016. Captian Vijayakanth announced as Chief Minister Candidate of this alliance. The long struggle is finalized now, the DMDK and its leader captain joined with MNK (Makkal Nala Koottani). The expected alliance was MDMK and DMK, as they are in very confidential talk, which is not success now. Tamilnadu BJP also try to joint hand with MDMK. The BJP and MDMK were met the parliament election in 2014.
MNK leaders were expressed their interest to join together to meet this election and raise their success rate. Stalin said that, "This alliance will not affect the DMK's and its coalition". Anbumani Ramadoss said that, "This is an opportunistic alliance and also said that the situation is favour of PMK". Tamilandu BJP's leader Tamilisai Soundrarajan said that," This is a wrong decision of DMDK, but it will not be affected the BJP's election strategies". Gandhiya Makkal iyakkam leader tamilaruvi Manian was criticized that," This movie is a biggest setback for vaiko".
DMK Leader Dr. Kalaignar M.Karunanidhi tweeted his expression as DMDK and DMK will join soon. He also informed that the DMK's election manifesto released 2 or 3 days.
